Conduct Civil Construction Skid Steer Loader Operations

  • The RIIMPO318F course provides essential training for operating skid steer loaders. Participants will learn to safely and effectively use skid steers for a range of tasks, including digging, lifting, and material handling. The training covers pre-operational checks, operational techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and basic maintenance to ensure the machine’s efficiency and reliability.

    • Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language.

    • A general understanding of workplace health and safety (such as a White Card) is recommended.

    • Must hold a USI (unique student identifier) number.

    • Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots.

    • No specific prior experience with roller equipment is required, but familiarity with heavy machinery is beneficial.

  • 1 to 2 day course (depending on experience)

    • A combination of classroom-based theoretical training and practical, hands-on instruction.

    • Includes operational exercises with skid steer loaders and assessments to verify competency.
